Managed Energy Systems Lunch & Learn Webinar: ElectroCell Particle Precipitator System
APS Member hospitals now have access to a breakthrough technology that can lower energy and water costs by dramatically decreasing cooling tower water contamination.
Please join us for an informative webinar to discuss the advanced open loop condenser cleaning system – ElectroCell Particle Precipitator System, offered by Managed Energy Systems. The ElectroCell Particle Precipitator System uses electrolysis to remove 98% of particulate contaminants from open loop water. Eliminating suspended solids down to one micron typically saves organizations 10-15% on their chiller electricity consumption and 15-20% on cooling tower make-up water. Tower and chiller maintenance likewise is reduced by up to 33%.
Eliminating suspended contaminants diminishes fouling and thereby reduces chiller workload, increasing efficiency and cutting electricity consumption. In addition to the particulate charging ionizer, the ElectroCell system uses a second, high-voltage ionizer to reduce the surface tension of the circulating cooling tower water. Doing so creates continual turbulence through the piping system to scour the chiller tubes, resulting in increased flow and system efficiency.
