The APS Natural Gas Program Steering Committee has made its recommendation and awarded the Natural Gas category bid to WoodRiver Energy. The new agreement will be effective April 1, 2022. WoodRiver Energy’s proposal to APS will provide a range of natural gas solutions to fit your unique budget and operational needs. This new agreement will protect your budget, provide savings, and help your organization navigate the changing world of energy. This new agreement gives you options and entails more than just transportation costs – WoodRiver Energy will work with each customer to provide a plan that works for them, keeping in mind that the main goal is to mitigate, if not eliminate, the risk of another February 21 event from hitting your organization again. Options include Full Requirements: This option will cover all of your natural gas usage regardless of historical usage based on a full fixed price or full index. These two programs will protect you from volatile events like Winter Storm Uri last February. Partial Requirements: Covers a selected percentage of your average historical usage. This option allows you to select a percentage of your historical usage to lock into a fixed price. If usage exceeds the selected volume, gas will be priced at Southern Star First of Month Index, plus $X.XX/ MMBtu. Interruptible Option: For customers who utilize a backup energy source during high prices.
More information about the new agreement will be coming soon and current participants will receive an email directly from WoodRiver to begin the documentation/transition.
